2021 has been an interesting year! Lots of ups, and lots of downs. Not just interest rates, but hopes and expectations. In the first part of the year, we saw some of the lowest fixed interest rates ever seen in Canada. Late winter we saw rates rise some what, but they continued to be very low! By late spring, in Alberta we had brought Covid infection rates to almost to stand still, and we opened for summer. Looking back, and then he would agree that was overly optimistic, and COVID-19 continued to ravage Alberta through the fall. Things seem to be more under control on that front. Kids can be vaccinated now too! Certain segments of our population are nearly 100% vaccinated! That is something we can be proud of.
As Christmas approaches, whether It is a religious holiday, or simply a time for reflexion and togetherness for family, we can meet together once again. We can have a more normal holiday season, and high hopes for a more normal 2022.
